UNIT - I - Structural Adjustment Programme, Globalization and the new global economy:  (भूमंडलीकरण तथा नयी भूमंडलीय अर्थव्यस्था) globalization as representing the triumph of free market capitalism; Continuity and change in the world economy since the 1970s; Economy Policy Changes in the Advanced and Developing Nations and Developments in Communication Technology; Geographical pattern of economic activity, patterns of international trade, foreign direct investment and capital flows.

UNIT II - Transnational Corporations and the Globalization Process : (अंतर्राष्ट्रीय निगम तथा भूमंडलीकरण प्रक्रिया) - TNCs and FDI and Technology flows; intra-firm and inter-firm trade; international production networks; Structure and working of the International Capital market : the main actros and instruments of international aset transaction; offshore banking; Eurocurrencies and Eurocurrency trading; global finance and hot money flows.

UNIT - III - Regional and multilateral agreements: (क्षेत्रीय एवं बहुपक्षीय समझौते) - Brief History; Multilateral Institutions, their Structure and Working (बहुपक्षीय संस्थाएँ, संरचना अवं कार्यप्रणाली) - International Monetary Fund and the World bank.

UNIT - IV - Agricultural Globalizaton and Developing Countries - (कृषि का भूमंडलीकरण एवं विकासशील देश) - Industry and Services in the globalization process; Labour, Migration and Outsourcing.

UNIT - V - The World Trade Organization; (विश्व व्यापार संगठन) - Organizational structure and decision making process and its evolving role.
UNIT - VI - Issues in Globalization: (भूमंडलीकरण के मसले) - Alternative prespectives on its nature and character. Questioning the benefits of economic integration: Inequality and instability in global economy. Critical Dimensions : (संकटपूर्ण आयाम) -
UNIT - VII - Globalization, State, Sovereignty and the Civil Society, The World Social Forum.
